Note: Blogger notified me that I had 5 unfinished drafts to post, and I noticed I had written these last year when we moved into our house and never published them. Now that all my photos are gone, it was fun to look through and see some of these picts.
Before
This was a gender neutral bedroom with waves painted on it. Did I mention the carpet upstairs was DISGUSTING? It had cat vomit (literally...chunks of dried vomit) all over and smelled so badly of cat urine. Cats are gross. Sorry if you are a cat lover.
After
I LOVE the sage green color I did in all the kids rooms. It's a custom mix from my mom's house. I wish I had tried it out sooner, I would've done my kitchen in it. It's the perfect not-in-you-face color and it's really soothing and brightening.
Remember this quilt I started at the beginning of the year? Thank goodness I finished it awhile ago, or it'd be in a pile somewhere. I really like how it turned out though. But still. Just go buy one, don't tell yourself you are saving money by sewing one. Not true.
I hung the frames with 3M strips. So easy.
I still have a few things to add to the wall so it will all be filled in, but you get the feel.
We rotate the little kitchenette and the barbie dream castle between the girls rooms.
I use 3M strips to hang hooks for their dressups. They dress up so much more, if the dresses are ready to go, in eye sight, and not stuffed in a box somewhere.
The painter also re-painted the built in book shelf, it's kinda amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do to brighten things up!
