4 Months Old!

Our little baby is 4 months old.

She is leaving that newborn sleepy-glazed stage, and is all smiles and coos.

We went to the doctor today and she is in the 50 percentile for everything, so she is just about average for her age. Which is weird because I think she is so much fatter than Amaryllis ever was (then again Amaryllis was 95% for length so I guess it evens out) and Kenzi's head seems large to me (I guess it's just the major poofy hairdo).
Weight - 15.2lb
Height - 25 inches
Head Circumference - 16.14 inches

And her milestones this month are:

1. She discovered her voice, and she is l-o-u-d.

2. She rolled over.

3. She transitioned from the bassinet to the nursery crib.

4. And she found her hands.

It's entertaining to watch her stare at them (cross eyed) while turning them slowly over and over.

Like I said, she got the boot out of her mini-nursery (aka the craft room that is connected to our bedroom) and she is now in a crib in the real nursery.

Which means little Miss Amaryllis is in...drumroll...a big girl bed. She did not want to leave her crib. She truly loves it and still asks to get in it. But we made her new room seem cool (as cool as it can be considering there is no furniture in it as of now--still waiting for some design inspiration).

I don't know why but I was sad about all this room changing. Part of me was worried that her sleep habits would change. So far so good.

The other part of me didn't want Amaryllis to get a big girl bed, even though she's 2 1/2, because then she's...well...a big girl! Ever since we got back from Utah she has really really grown up. Her sentences, mannerisms, facial expressions, imagination--everything.

But I guess my "reward" was that on the afternoon of her first nap in her new bed, I snuck in and got to watch her sleep. It was a real treat, as you know I love watching my babies snooze. I even had time to creep out and get my camera and click away without waking her.

So picts of that to come soon.

I was speeding through my Google Reader at about 90 miles per hour, and these stopped me in my TRACKS. Honestly, one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen!
