All children, except one, grow up. They soon know that they will grow up, and the way Wendy knew was this. One day when she was two years old she was playing in a garden, and she plucked a flower and ran with it to her mother.

I suppose she must have looked rather delightful, for Mrs. Darling put her hand to her heart and cried, "Oh, why can't you remain like this for ever!"
This was all that passed between them on the subject, but henceforth Wendy knew that she must grow up.

You always know after you are two.

I'm a sucker for my sleeping babes. I love sneaking in & watching them play in Neverland. Lucky for me, her new bedroom door doesn't stick so she never knows that I creep in.
And yes, I truly do sit there and wonder if they are the Mermaid Lagoon or the Pirate Ship type of child. I guess I'll never really know.

Love it, gave me the shivers. I always tell Macey not to grow any bigger and she promises she won't, but I know she has too. :(
I'm so jealous your girls sleep through your picture-taking. Hazel almost always wakes up when I come in her room, and never lasts through a camera click. Darn it for light sleepers!
The story of Peter Pan makes me cry.
I'm jealous of doors that don't stick. I've thought about installing peep holes.
