Wedding #1

Jake's little brother got married in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City (questions about temple marriage? Visit Char's wedding and click on the links).

I was sad I didn't take my good camera and had to make do with my point-and-shoot. But Jake's carry-on bag was loaded down with too many electronics already.

Their reception was at the Hidden Garden Falls at Thanksgiving Point. It was very pretty. I love the colors they chose for their wedding.

Probably the best part of the reception for Amaryllis was seeing the yellow/blue candy buffet. Wait, you mean I can have ALL the candy I could possibly want and it's just sitting out there in the open?????

Look at her giving me the stink eye in this pict (I told her no more candy):
She has totally learned that Grandpappy will giver her treats all day long, even if mom says no.

(She's totally just rubbing it in!)

The bride had some killer shoes! So cute!

Kensington's face in every picture is always pretty amusing. Her expression is either Shock, Worry, or Pure Rage.

Here is the absolute only group photo we took...and we look like a bunch of dorks. But hey, at least it's the first photo of the four of us since Kensington was born. We really should get a family picture of all 4 of us actually looking (happily) at the camera. It may be awhile before that happens!

Speaking of pictures, the photographer for this wedding was one that I totally blog-stalk, and so it was fun to meet her and talk to her. She gave me some general tips on starting photography as a business. I'll have to think more about it and practice, but I just might give it a shot since it's something I really enjoy. What do you think? (and don't just stroke my ego). At least one of us in this house has to work and make some muh-nay! (love you and believe in you babe!).

Emily you are too funny! Sign our family up, I am in love with your pictures and our family pictures last fall were a total flop. The girls look adorable (and so do you of course), I love the wedding colors!

Ok, your baby looks older than mine. Maybe it's the fact that she has hair?
We don't have a family pic yet either. I'm thinking that might happen for christmas. Or when I am less fat.
Also, the brides shoes really ARE killer! I want them.

Your photography is great. I mean, it is a heck of a lot better than mine and most people I know. I love your baby photo shoots best, I think.
