iPhone Pictures

Well, thanks to my fabulously handy hubby, I now have a complete iPhone once again. A certain little someone dropped my phone and the screen has been cracked. But Jake found a YouTube video that shows you how to replace it (note: an iPhone has the world's teeniest screws ever).

Us sick Bartletts are on the mend, thankfully. It has been a long 2 months. To make a long story short, I picked up a nasty intestinal bacteria (either at the hospital while delivering, or from antibiotics from mastitis) called C. Difficil. I PRAY nobody ever gets this--it has been simply horrible. I still have 2 wks of antibiotics left (at $1300 bucks a bottle, they better work!) and hopefully that will get rid of the bacteria. I have been considered a "severe" case since I have had 2 relapses, and had more extreme symptoms. I will spare you the details. It can become chronic if it damages your colon and some people have to live with it. This, right after mastitis, and then a cold with an earache (had to get a tube put in my ear), along with a trip to the ER for severe dehydration, and weaning Kensington so my hormones were way out of wack...let's just say it has been so weird for me since I've been healthy my whole life. Anyways, thanks to a wonderful hubby and lots of prayers from my family, I have good hope I can kick this. It has been a major faith building time for me. I will never ever ever take for granted good health again. Stop right now and say a thankful prayer for your healthy body!

And here is what made me happy during these 2 miserable months:
Kensington has become Miss Smiles. Maybe we should start calling her Smiley. Then that will change into Miley. And then she'll get picked up by Disney for a show. And cause mass tween obsession from then on. Oh wait, Jake doesn't sing country so he couldn't be her co-star. Oh well.

Here are some more random pictures and things we've been up to.

Amaryllis loves to share her toys with Kensington:

Like Father, Like Daughter:

Playing the piano at church with her little gal-pal:

We went to Schramma's and hung out by the pool:

And Amaryllis found Auntie Melanie's old box of Barbies. She mostly liked pulling off their heads.

My dad and Jake have been working together on a project.

Did I mention Jake quite SAS 2 months ago? Can't remember if I did. Anyways, we made the leap and rid ourselves of the golden handcuffs. Most of you probably know he has hated it for the past few years and has been super bored there. Except, being that it is the No. 1 place to work for families, it seemed too wasteful to leave. He is doing his own thing now and is MUCH happier. We had to wait for the right timing, but so far it has been a good move. Of course maybe I'll be singing a different tune when the money starts running out :)

We are off for 2 weeks to hit up the West. We each have a sibling getting married so there will be lots to keep us busy. If you have any suggestions or links to ideas for toddler airplane activities please share!

What parts of the West will you be hitting up? I know Jake's from Cali, so I'm kinda hoping you'll come close to where I am, although I bet he's southern. I'd love to see you and the babies!

So SO sorry to hear about the bad health drama. I truly hope it all clears up permanently for you. :(

Pulling my barbie's heads off?!?!? AV!!!! lol
And Kensington looks a lot like you in that first pic! And also, I think Jake could TOTALLY sing country! And play the guitar! Tell him to grow his hair out like Dean did in H.S.! ;)
Are you having fun at Schramma's??

Oh my goodness, it sounds like you were REALLY sick! I sure hope you are on the mend now. You have to tell us these things so we can pray for you.
Wow, that really sounds like the worst. I'm glad you have a good Smiley Miley.

Wow, I thought you must be really sick if you would wean such a tiny little one. I'm glad you're better. I think stopping off at my house in between weddings would be great for the kids. Except I would just put you to work decorating my house. I look at all the backgrounds in your pics for decorating inspiration and have decided that you should just come and do it for me. Let me know when you're coming, you and Meredith can tag team. ;)
