I love that Amaryllis still wears her dressups.
We had a storm roll through, with thunder and lightening, which is rare for here. We've been here about 3 yrs and I've never seen these kind of clouds or heard lightening. Made me miss our good ole southern thunderstorms!
Rainbow!
Also, you can see they are finishing the last phase of homes in our neighborhood.
Amaryllis is getting so good at drawing! She just finished a 8 week after-school art program.
She is also creative in other mediums...such as turning this wrapping paper roll into a baton of sorts. I was having a panic attack watching her do this cuz I saw her as a future HS band flag girl...nooooo!!!!!
Snuck out to lunch on this particular gorgeous day.
There's a cute cafe on the airport grounds.

They call her "flute girl".
They call her "flute girl".
As in, "hey guys! Flute girl is here!"
The first time she showed up, they all slowly drifted towards her as if in a trance.
Keeping busy:
Kensington went to a tea party:
Words of wisdom from Nordstroms:
Another great Nordstrom wisdom:
(Kelly pointed it out)
More keeping busy:
(she is just like Amaryllis. Loves to open/close, buckle/unbuckle, fill up then empty things.
Apparently Brooklyn and Amaryllis have grand plans for our future:
It's been warm.
Lots of little feet at the pool!
Lots of little feet at the pool!
And lots of beach days.
She brought her markers and drawing paper, so she could sketch, ha.
A particular exciting date night in "the valley" as the locals say. (aka LA).
This is the infamous date night where our valiant suburban husbands had to break up a fight between a junkie and the gas station cashier.
Here are all Kensington's little friends, ready to greet her on her birthday! She is such a little animal person, she always has a little buddy in her hands.
Being the mean mom that I am, she had her 5 yr vaccinations on her bday:
She never saw it coming!
She also had a field trip to Trader Joes on her bday with her preschool class.
Banana Phone :)
At her party, Amaryllis put together a little Kids Club. She was sooo mature and teacher-esque, teaching the little kids how to make their Fruit Loop necklace. She thought of a few other little activities. She headed it up on her own, and rounded up the kids, and it was quite organized and controlled.
Also at the bday party, Kelly was the center of attention, as you can see, with her ridiculous helium app that she got us hooked on. We've had many a conversation via helium owl eye texts.
Even dragged Miss Lindsey down to our idiot level:
The kids think it is HILARIOUS.
Maybelle isn't quite sure what to think.
But I think she makes an adorable alien baby.
