New Shades of Color

Amaryllis and Brooklyn are in an after school art class.
Amaryllis has been LOVING it.
She learned to hold her pencil sideways and shade things, and that just rocked her world!

She has always said she's going to be an artist when she grows up.  Today I heard her say,
"but I don't want to be a starving artist. And I won't cut off my ear."
Apparently they learned about Van Gogh (I never knew he cut off his ear?)

In other shades of color...

We had our porch trim and shutters painted, they were in desperate need.
I went with black--good choice huh?

Everyone has been playing so nicely lately.

Except, in some areas we have regressed.  SO random and SO annoying.
Kensington has had skidmarks in her undies.
Seems she just can't take the time to stop playing and go potty.

Oh heeeeheee I love a good text chain.
Especially involving these people:

I laughed about that for awhile.  Love you Heidi.
(She thought "sans" was autocorrect for "and" so they showed up to dinner with their little girl...awkward. And hilarious. And so cutely Heidi.)

Here is our artist, exploring other mediums:

And me, exploring more cooking...are you shocked?
