Here is Amaryllis getting ready for her Fairy Egg Hunt that she earned. She remembered our Halloween party and knew just what to do. She got her blanket and basket of toys and sat on the lawn all morning waiting for her friends, while I hung up these pom-poms and spied on her playing.
The pom-poms are actually for the playroom ceiling, but they add some fairy-ness to a plain Easter hunt don't you think?
She was playing and stacking her elephants and said "OH!! I forgots my camera, I need to take pictures!".
That's my girl.
I took more video than pictures of the total chaos that we called an egg hunt. I think there was about 15 kids, some babies, moms, grandmas, and nannies all in the mix. Such a pretty day too.
A few of the eggs had money in them and the kids would open and see it, and then put the egg back on the ground because it wasn't candy inside. Amaryllis came running up to me and saying she found my money (I'm glad she thinks money belongs to me only. I'm sure that will change some day).
I was SO glad that I found these leftover fiesta confetti eggs that I had stored on a random shelf not knowing what to do with them a few months ago--I hate when I save things for a holiday, forget about them, the holiday passes, then I don't know if I should re-save for a year or throw it away. They are from Fiesta Week in Santa Barbara. Now the contents of these eggs are all over my yard (not that I care--our yard isn't exactly something to be proud of copared to all our neighbors lush green grass). The kids didn't exactly know what to do when I said "go crack it on your mom's head!"
I hope, despite the insane amount of sugar, your kids had naptime dreams about colorful eggs, confetti, fairy wings, tutus, nerf rockets stuck in our gutter, princess tents, treats, bubbles and how cool their mommys are for bring them to our party! Thanks for coming!

How Fun! I think it's so cute that Amaryllis had to get out her camera.

Looks like so much fun! I have to say that you always have the best parties. I miss not being in Raleigh to join you :(
