This weekend Amaryllis hosted her first party and we celebrated her 3rd birthday elephant style.

Grandma K sent these adorable party outfits and my sweeties looked so girlishly yummy.

The party was pretty chaotic, I won't lie. But lotsa fun.

I think there were about 7 little kids, a few siblings, moms and dads.
We brought all the playroom tea party stuff down into the dining room so that we could keep everybody corralled in 1 place.

If you recall, her birthday always falls on the week of the Krispy Kreme 5K, so of course we incorporate that into our birthday menu each year.

There was no grand master plan, and being a meeting planner you think I'd know better than to wait until the last minute. The morning of the party I thought we'd better think of some games to play so the kids didn't get bored.

Amaryllis and I made this--it is one of her favorite games (I made it awhile back as a file-folder game for a plane trip. It's way cuter and laminated and I colored it and it made me remember how relaxing coloring is, why don't adults color more?) and so we drew it bigger on a back of a brown grocery bag. Classy huh?

Basically you just dress up the elephant. She loves it.

There is no way we could have coordinated a group shot in all the madness, but all the little girls were dressed in their tea party finest. Remember this cutie? She was the oldest at the party, therefore the only one who stood still long enough to take a non-blurry picture. Love her dainty pearls.

Evil me, I love picts of crying kids. So fun to laugh at.

She was so tired afterwards and we paid for it on Sunday when the sugar crankies hit.

(yeah right she would ever fall asleep out in the open. she's faking.)

Hi there, I'm Holly (ie. Kissy Face), your girls are adorable!!! I was wondering if I could use those cute pics of your girls on my blogsite kissyfacedesigns.blogspot.com as an example of a custom order. If not I totally understand, I wont put them up until you say it's okay.
Glad you liked the outfits! :)

Awesome pictures! Looks like a fun party. Love the elephants.
Asher was invited to his first tea party and he was like the only one dressed up. Glad to know that your guests "got it."
