Amaryllis turned 1 this weekend. I can't believe our little girl has officially left babyhood and joined the ranks of WALKING toddlers! And, to add to her mouth of 8 teeth, how timely that 4 more teeth decided to cut through this weekend...molars and all. Yay for Motrin & Tylenol to make her birthday weekend a happy weekend. Here is how we celebrated:
Amaryllis and her friends had cupcakes and rode the carousel at the mall on Friday.
This picture cracks me up. I didn't even have time to put frosting on the cupcake--she swiped it and dove in.
Looking a little scared of the swirling lights & music. She liked it though (at least that's what I tell myself).
Some of her little friendz. The next day (actual birthday):
2400 calories * 12 donuts * 4 miles * 1 hour, 21 min
On Saturday, we ran in the Krispy Kreme Challenge.
Jake and his friends tried to do the "competition" race where you have to run 2 miles to the Krispy Kreme, eat 1 dozen donuts, and run 2 miles back to NCSU. They failed and only ate 7-10. Losers.ps: then they groaned all day "ugghh... why did I do that..." (I will not name names)
Me & Heidi pushed Amaryllis in the jogger, which makes us hardcore because there are some hills involved. Oh, and the fact that everyone dumped their junk (coats, wallets, bags, keys, water bottles, boxes of donuts) on the stroller so we had to push that too.

It looks like AV had a very fun b'day weekend. Did you let her participate in eating the doughnuts?
So, is she totally walking now?!
Looks like JAKE'S the one pushing the stroller! LOL
And the "name" you didn't want to name-- could that be Amaryllis? She looks like she is sick of eating donuts in that pic! LOL! I can't believe how much she looks like Rome in that last pic of her on the carousel... And yes- is she really walking??
Yay!....that is so exciting that she is walking!...Now nothing in your house under 3 feet is truly safe anymore!...it's all fair game for her :) It looked like she had a fun birthday! what a cutie!
Nice job pushing A! Looks like fun. I think more and more friends are being recruited to join in the run each year. I better start training now for next year by downing a couple donuts!
