People keep telling me to put pictures of my preggy-self up. So here's a self portrait of my belly.

PSYCHE! How creepy is this picture? I don't even think it's real but what if you really saw that footprint clearly bulging from your stomach--I'd freak out.
Sorry if you got excited but I will never ever in a million years take pictures of my bare big belly. I have seen some pretty weird maternity portraits out there and they all involve gross ugly naked bellys, usually with their husband's hands wrapped oh-so-lovingly around.
Google it and see what I mean. Weirdness!
(my apologies if you are one of those people...it's just not my thing). This is as close as I'll get. And the only reason I have this pictures is because Amaryllis wanted to "picture you momma" with my camera (I'm sure she's destined to be a photographer). So I taught her how to push the button--which I am regretting because now instead of letting
me take pictures of
her, she wants to be on the other side of the camera.

And also, I wanted to document this shirt because every time I wear it she say "Blues Clues!" and points to the baby footprints. I guess she thinks they are paw-prints like on the show - what a cutie. Anyways, how bout that belly huh? Think there is a 10 pounder in there? Guess we'll see...

We rinsed out this Nestle Quick box because it looked like a good toy for her--the whole open/close container thing is very popular at our house right now.

She immediately smelled the inside and said "Chocolate! Chocolate in there! Smell!" even though she's never tasted chocolate milk, or even seen the container for that matter. (We drink it when she's in bed. I know not to go down that road with her...)

Anyways, she has fun filling it up with dominoes and toting it around the house. She has gotten to the stage where her arms are always FULL of miscellaneous items, and some toy or another has to accompany her wherever she goes.

Which I'm glad she plays so well by herself, because this weekend we have been shut-in due to the horrible blizzard of 2010:

Now, as you'll recall, our little Amaryllis is coming up on her 2nd birthday this week. So of course I started preparing like 2 months ago and made sure to have my Amaryllis flower bulbs planted. We have them growing every year at this time. And every year, before she was born, we'd sigh and look at how beautiful they were (and I would secretly say yep, Amaryllis is a perfect name for a right purdy little girl).
They really are quite shockingly large and lovely--and truly brighten up the room. Look how magnificently beautiful. And this is just 1 of about 7 blooms to come...

And here's a little artistically composed photo with a title. I'm so clever.
Amaryllis: Foreground & Background

I can't believe she will be turning two. I like this poem because so far in my life, to me, little girls do mean rainbows and bubbles and pigtails and sweet ballerina twirls.

And we are so ready to have another to play with!

I LOVE picture of your belly. How neat!
Macey and AV once again have the same clothes, did you get that shirt off of Target's clearance?
I agree that bare belly pics are gross and am very glad you did not post one. You look great though! I can't believe you have less than 2 months to go.
Yeah the shirt was $1.88 at Target! Who can pass that up?
you look so great pregnant!! I love the Amaryllis, both the flower and the cute girl.
I covet your blue and green striped rug.
sooo cute! love the pics and you looks soo cute!. :) I'm with you on the belly pics.
I totally agree on the prego pics...Ben asked if I wanted them done, b/c everyone seemed to have them done, I think he was relieved when I told him NO! But you look so cute pregnant!
That is so cute that you plant a flower for her every year! what a cute tradition.
I can't wait until my little niece comes! a few more weeks!
Every time I go to your blog to check for a new post, that belly pic makes me feel embarrassed. I look behind me to see if Todd is looking at the screen. You need a new post!!!
