Well the week after our trip was eventful.
Actually it was the plane ride home when Kelly's small wound majorly swelled up and an infection was apparent. It was just a little cut from a surfing/coral mishap, but boy howdy did it turn into one for the books!
After an ER visit and antibiotics that didn't work, we found ourselves at the hospital for what we thought would just be a visit with one of her dad's doctor friends. It ended up being impromptu spontaneous bloody pus filled pain wracking open wound surgery, followed by 2 nights in the hospital.
Yummy.
(I got to wheel her around in that chair weeeeeeeee!)
Anyways long story short, Jeremy had to go out of town so guess who got to stuff that packing gauze inside her flesh wound twice a day? Any guesses? Yours truly.
I made a video so we'd always remember how we thought having 1 baby at home would be so carefree and dreamy, and never did we think I'd be playing nurse on her foot injury from a teeny piece of Hawaiian bacteria filled coral. Oh and watching her scoot down the stairs on her butt is pretty entertaining too.

OMG her foot!! That was so grossly entertaining!! Did it hurt as bad as it looked? And that vid was hilarious. Loved the Maui vid too! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
