Merry and Bright

Christmas break...a whole 2 weeks without school.  Joy.

It actually hasn't been that bad.  The girls got out of their funk, and have been playing nicely and the spoiled whiney snotty behavior seems to be on pause.  Phew.

Maybe it was Mama Dictator.  Maybe it was just a phase.

It was very warm the first week of winter break.

We went to the LA Temple to see the lights.  It's decorated so pretty, the picts don't do it justice.

Grandpappy, Grandma K, and Auntie Meg came down on Chistmas Eve for the Bartlett traditional fondue dinner and festivities.

Famous last words from Grandma K:
"I'm not doing a big Christmas this year, I didn't really buy very much stuff"
....right...

She brought tons of foods and we decorated sugar cookies:

We tucked the girls into bed, after a cute little Christmas devotional where Amaryllis was just DETERMINED to read EVERY WORD of her Christmas book to us (after we had already watched the Christmas video) and it took for-ev-er.

Then Jake and I snuck on a walk to deliver some cookies to the Rex clan.
Aint her tree so classic looking?

When we came home from our walk, the pile of presents in the garage had magically appeared under the tree and it looked like Christmas!

Amaryllis woke up super excited.  Normal Christmas morning chaos ensued.  I don't take picts during fun things, I just enjoy it :)

The girls tore through the presents, we had a yummy breakfast while they disappeared to play with their stuff.

I made the girls wait until after lunch/nap to open this last present.

Can you tell they love it?  It's the Super Spinner from Amazon.

POST CHRISTMAS

We had a lazy week.

On New Years Eve we partied with our friends and watched the usual retarded clips on YouTube, stuffed our bellies with yummy food and drinks, and laughed too hard.
