Fun times in November!
Lots of forts these days.
For my birthday, we had a looong 10 hour date day/night. It was fun. We went to Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. Here's the prettiest place in Santa Monica:
We did a relay race type of thing in Beverly Hills with some friends.
It's from strayboots.com and you do it on your phone, and it tells you all these things to go find. Then you take a pict and submit it, and you get points. Really great way to get-to-know a city!
Rodeo Drive - a girl can dream can't she?
New ride:
We went to Disney back-to-back the past 2 weeks. Once with some friends.
Everytime we go, there is something new that we see or watch. This was a Disney Junior live performance, it was so cute and Kensington LOOOVED it.
Then, we invited Auntie Megs to come since she is the Disney Queen and it's probably our last time to go until after the holiday madness.
And we saw Mitt Romney get off the California Screamin Roller Coaster. His hair was all fluffed up from the roller coaster and his sons were smoothing it down for him. All his grandkids were hanging on him, and when people in line started recognizing him they all were cheering and clapping.
For Thanksgiving we stayed here and went to Santa Barbara to the Bartletts. It was fun and for once I didn't stuff myself silly (imagine that!).
It was mellow, the girls swam, we watched some shows, took family pictures, and visited Auntie Meghan's horse.
Which I was in shock of how brave Kensington was-- going up to them all and petting them. We had to remind her sometimes they bite (she could care less). She's such an animal lover.
Yarrrrr.
Diva.
Amaryllis was STOKED about the tree. Running around squealing and giving hugs and telling us a million times she loves us, and Merry Christmas, and it's just so wonderful and exciting and chattering on and on.
This morning, I hear the following conversation between Amaryllis and Kensington in regards to the nativity scene, and Jake trying to fix their lack of Bible knowledge.
KD pointing at the stable: Look, a house!
AV: Yep, the wisemen built his house on a rock. For baby Jesus.
(Jake inserts: No, not that kind of wiseman).
KD: Loook, a sheep.
AV: Uh Huh, yes you're right. Mary had a little lamb.
(Jake pipes in: No, not that Mary).

Macey keeps singing the wiseman built his house upon the rock too. :)
And can we come to santa barbara for thanksgiving next year? golden corral was great and all, but that pool would make it worth it.
That conversation is too cute! (we have that nativity too - so nice for little fingers to have one to play with)
LOVE it! I wish we lived close, Brianna would love to be in on all of that fun. I don't know if she would be able to set them straight about Mary or just start singing.
Did Mitt's bodyguards ride too?
