We went to Charlotte for the 4th of July.
We went "uptown" (they are really particular that it is referred to as "uptown" as opposed to "downtown") and saw all the sights.
In case you don't know, Jake's real name is James.
They have lots of greens, sculptures, water fountains, splash parks, historical monuments, artwork, etc.
I feel like whenever I describe our weekends all I can say is "we ate lots of food and had lots of fun".
Amaryllis got her first taste of fireworks.
Really it was just sparklers because she was in bed during the good stuff.
I think we have been traveling every other week for the past few months. Needless to say, I have packing down to a science. One bag per person, 1 stroller, and 1 iPhone loaded with movies. That's it, we are set.
And it only takes me 20 minutes to pack the girls' bags, and then about 30 minutes to pack my stuff and get the house all ready (I like to come home to a picked up house so I do a mini-clean before we leave).
It's a science I tell you.
Thanks to my parents for always letting us come play~their house is always so comfy cozy and fun.
We have lots of family time coming up. We are here in Raleigh for a few days and then we leave again for Santa Barbara and SLC--then we'll be home for a day and it's family reunion time in Topsail. The summer will be practically over!
ps: still thinking about my quilt. :(

I can't believe how blonde Amarylis is still. Wow. And I liked the other quilt too, although I would agree with you that the one out of stock is the best of the two.
So, there I was on zulily.com and I saw a picture of a cute little baby in a romper. I thought "hmm, that looks a heck of a lot like Kensington." I clicked, and lo and behold, it IS Kensi and she is modeling for her mommy's company. WTF(reak)?!?
