Rainy Days Bring Sunny Days

Rainy Day Play and Zoey 134text

My girls are so much fun lately. With kids, I've noticed everything comes in phases. Amaryllis will be whiney and sassy and a handful for a few days--those days I question my sanity. Then there are phases where she is such a joy and very pleasant to be around.

Lucky for you, dear blog reader, we are in such a phase. So I have nothing but lovey dovey words and doting compliments to shower upon my little ones. My baby girls are just fun. I don't know how else to say it.

We play all day. Mind you, it is a struggle to balance "work" and play--but so far so good. I'm happy with my decision to officially retire from the world of meeting planning, conference calls, lame emails, and in short: babysitting adults. I never knew I liked photography so much until my little FunfettiPhotography sort of took off on it's own. But so far, it has been really fun to see what life has in store for us. Changes, changes, changes. It keeps it interesting, right?

Now back to said playtime. The weather is gorgeous. Almost worth suffering through that nasty, humid, gross summer. A few days of pleasant rain was a nice break from the oppressive heat and helped usher in a beautiful southern Fall. I've never seen a blue-er sky than here in the carolinas at this time of year.

The windows have been thrown open all day long. A blanket stays on the grass and in each stroller, so wherever we are we can stop and lay down, and (hopefully) spot an EleFunt! in the clouds. And a picnic dinner is packed in the fridge ready and waiting every night. We are on our 10th day in a row of snacker (a snack that can be counted as a dinner) at the park. And I'm loving it.
