Kensington's 6 Month Stats

Our little Kenzi Bear is 6 months. The doctor said she is a right healthy pretty little lady. I have to agree there.



Her Stats:
17.5 lbs (57 percentile)
27.4 inches long (90 percentile)
16 in head circumference (50 percentile)
Not sure why they even measure the head.



Just like her big sis, Kensington was not a fan of the sand. Hopefully she'll learn to love it (I don't think she'll have much choice).



Side Note: I took these picts while playing around with one of those big telescopic lenses (not mine). Must get me one.



My friend April and I made this observation together regarding motherhood, the beach and adding to your brood: The first time you take your first new baby to the beach, you protect them and keep them in your lap or in the stroller or in the carseat. Slowly, as they get older, you graduate to a beach towel or bucket or something. Then the next trip you might dip their toes in the water and squeal. Of course, they are your first baby so they always have the appropriate swim attire on while at the beach (hat, swim diaper, swimsuit, sunscreen, etc.). You never let them eat sand (germs!) or drink any ocean water (bacteria!).



By the time your second kid comes around, whoops. There they are as a newborn out laying on the sand (or forgotten in a basket). The next beach trip, there is that 2nd child in a regular un-swim diaper (no hat! eeek!) getting all dirty and eating handfuls of sun.



We wonder: what happens when the third baby comes? We decided that baby will probably be off floating on the surfboard, buck naked, peeing in the water and loving it. (I know exactly what Jake is thinking at this point: what's wrong with that?).



Another Side Note:
Per my last blog post and all the comments (not sure how to answer comments, what's the proper etiquette anyways? Leave my own comment back?).

1. Blessings! My little laptop (appropriately named Tinkerbell in keeping with our 7 yr Peter Pan theme for our electronics. The iPods have all been My Little Pony names. Then I had a daughter who became obsessed with those annoying high voiced horses and I won't be naming any more ipods after My Little Ponies) had some August family reunion photos on it so not everything was lost! Just some stuff. But that was a nice surprise to find a folder of photos on my laptop.

2. Yes! You can backup/export your blog. Go to Settings. Then export. But remember to backup your export. Make sense?

3. Amaryllis sits in the front, Kenzi sits in the back (and she is none the wiser).

4. The playroom is cute and cozy, and open to all.

One last picture. This was my favorite out of all. I see this pict and I stare at it forever and I think "why do I like to stare at this picture? it's just a leg after all".
