Backup Your Files. Do It Now.

Well friends.

I'm sad to report that my faithful computer, Tigerlilly, wimped out on me. Can you believe that I Emily Bartlett, married to a Jake Bartlett , Master of Computer Science, Rulers of all Technology Gizmos & Gadgets, Who's House Is Always Swinging and Jiving with the latest and greatest-- had a computer malfunction at the Manor?

Well believe it. I have been known to download miscellaneous fonts and photoshop junk, and those downloads are cesspools for computer viruses.

Luckily, I had recently backed up my Funfetti Photos. Unluckily, I lost ALL of my personal August photos of my darling daughters. Very sad day for me.
I am SO glad that I blogged all of Kensington's "firsts" last month, as well as our family reunion photos--otherwise they would have been gone forever into computer abyss.

Isn't this heart outfit fabulously 1980s? Very rainbow bright-ish. It was mine when I was little. It is actually supposed to be for a bigger kid (ewww) so that the dress is shorter and the heart bloomers stick out more underneath. Us poor 80's babies had to dress quite horribly.

(Amaryllis was the one that insisted on pulling her socks up to her knees. At least she isn't wearing an additional pair of socks on her hands pulled up to her elbows, which has been her latest fashion choice.)

We have not really been home the past month. Twice I looked at my empty calendar looming before me and headed to Schrammah's with the girls. There are pools, parks, trails, etc at Schrammas and besides, all in all her house is much more fun than ours!

We do manage to have fun in Raleigh though too :)

We had a few days in the 80's (a nice cool break from the deathly upper 90s humidity) and Amaryllis kept saying "Awiss cold, Awiss need a jacket". Here she is waiting for Miss Heidi to come visit---in the 89 degree weather. A true southerner.

Losing my pictures and files has renewed my blogging stamina. I vow to be more faithful so as to preserve my pictures, hear ye hear ye!

Actually, is there a way to backup a blog? I should look into that.

Go backup your pictures, people!

I know you can make your blog into a book, but I couldn't tell you about an electronic copy of your blog. Will you blog about blogging backups if you find any? :)

I love your playroom and I love AV's outfit! I haven't really seen pics of your playroom, just the different pieces I guess.

Remember when AV was here and she kept wanting a jacket? You've got to toughen that girl up, run your AC more or something.

and I think it's time for you to get with the program and get a mac. Glimmer could use a computer bff.

I thought you were going to say at least she wasn't wearing another pair of socks (different-colored of course) on top of that pair. That woulda made it authentic 80's ;) w/ a scrunchie. lol I like that dress on her, but the Annie bloomer style is gross huh. KD looks SO big sitting there! Her chubby little arms! Nice bottle lol! And I like that stroller. Who sits in the front/back??

I have most of your reunion pics. I can mail a cd to u if you want?

I'm so sorry about your computer. I need to get on Paul and have him back up all our pictures again. I am so afraid of loosing them too. Thank goodness for blogs.

Devastating!

And I am dying over the heart dress. The only thing that's missing from that picture is a Sprite doll.

Oh, that is so sad. Losing even one good picture is a tragedy.
And yes, the outfit is very Rainbow Bright. I wish my mom would have kept some of my 80's-tacular outfits, and that they looked as brand new as yours!
