Alas, we have had such adventures whilst on holiday with Schra-muh-ma. A few noteworthy events have transpired which undoubtedly you would like to be kept abreast on.
Miss Kensington has had three "firsts" to speak of. Namely the following:
Lack of the Bumbo chair led me to put her in this high chair for the first time. She looked so adorably sweet and little in that big chair that I thought to myself, "My 'lanta! It must be nigh time to start her on some porridge!"
Lucky for us, Schra-ma-ma' had some right on hand. And did the Missus like it, you ask?
I do declare, she loves anything that resembles the texture of Grits!
Another first that Miss Kenzi completed is she can now hold her own bottle for a whole feeding without any dropping. (Gracious, look at those chubby thighs! I know it is uncouth for a Lady to speak of such things, but really have you ever seen anything so truly scrumptious?).
And finally, she seems to have mastered sitting up all by herself for a record 20 minutes before falling. What grace! What poise!
As for our eldest daughter, Miss Amaryllis continues to excel in delicacy and charm as seen in this picture:
(She learned to throw her head back in this dainty manner, laugh outloud for what seems like eternity, then when she's all done she sighs and says "oh dear" just like Schra-muh-ma.)
Such a grand time is being had by all, that we do intend to trample on my parent's hospitality a bit longer. I hope the Manor is not too lonesome without the sound of pitter patter and that you are getting along fine without us.
I do remain faithfully yours forever and always. And then some.
Truly,
The Mrs.
ps: In case you can't tell, we are watching Cold Mountain on AMC right now. Such a sad southern tale.
PPSS: I wish I had Nicole Kidman's waist line in this movie. I'm pretty sure Kensington's thighs are bigger than it.

ps. rome is talking SO much more and better since vacay.
He just said "Ama-wyllis".
pps. His new word is "Yepuh!" (Which he got from av.)
He doesn't know what it means, so he says it instead of NO! now which is kinda nice!
Why, Mrs. Bartlett! I declare this the wittiest letter I've read in ages!
I cannot believe that little Kensington is already so advanced!! As always, great pics!
I love the word scrumptious! Corban just hit those same milestones. I love it when they roll over and their little bottoms are in the air.
Great post Em! I liked the first couple of pics of AV (and the one of her being such a delicate charming lady). Miss you guys, -ben
I laughed out loud when I read "I do declare"! Such a southern statement!
