As you can see from this blessing picture, the buttons are undone in the back because she was too fat. And this is a size 3month dress, people! (she is barely 2 months). I don't know what the deal is--she doesn't seem like a particularly chunky baby.
Anyways, per the title of this blog post, it is the same dress Amaryllis wore that Schrammah picked out from Strasburg. The phrase "In the Business of Dressing Angels" is printed on the garment bag and I thought how appropriate--Kensington did look like a little angel. (Except for the uncontrollable poofy hair).

We took the Bartletts to the beach house afterwards for a few days. Both Jake and I felt under the weather but other than that it was quite enjoyable.
And as you can see, Grandpappy & Grandma spoiled Amaryllis. She got this killer awesome bike. It has a nifty parent handlebar so you don't break your back trying to push the child. And of course Amaryllis would rather put her stuffed animals in the seat and push them around too, but she'll get the hang of riding it soon.

Lately whenever we come into the room, we find Amaryllis lounging and laying near Kensington. She just can't get enough of her little sister. You'd think the novelty would have worn off by now, but she is still obsessed.

Sometimes when I bring Kensington in the kitchen for the first time in the morning, Amaryllis gets so happy and emotional she starts to cry. She carries on and on and just has to hold/touch/pet/smooch her sis. It is quite odd actually.
The pink dress Kenzi is wearing in the below photo is the dress I was blessed in. When I asked my mom why it wasn't white, my mom said it was the only new dress I had since all the rest were handmedowns (remember I was born in a trailer in the middle of nowheresville, TX). The bloomers that go with this dress are old fashion and have plastic on the inside.

However, as my mom pointed out, the one baby item I'm waiting to be perfected is silent velcro (I'm a major fan of the SwaddleMe, except when baby is sleeping and the velcro noise wakes her up. Every time.).

Amen on the thank goodness for super absorbent diapers! I changed my youngest sibs in cloth diapers and will never go there myself.
I completely melted when I read that Amaryllis cries and loves on her sis so much when she first sees her in the morning. That is way too adorable!
