Recovery after this birth was so much quicker. I came home and started cleaning (who knows why) and the next day we went to the park and Target and life went on as usual.
Jake gets 10 days of paternity leave (thank you SAS for being the #1 family company to work for) so when I told him even though Kensington was only 5 days old I felt like getting away and taking in the breezy sea air he said, "Atta girl--We want salt in their souls!" I knew he was secretly hoping to spend his paternity leave at the beach house.
Anyways, Kensington is not the most cooperative during photo shoots. And I find that she is not a bendable/flexible baby like most others. So I couldn't do everything I wanted (you know the cute newborn shots where they are all squished in a ball and gently balanced in a bowl).
More photos later. I got this super duper cute one of her smiling in her sleep. Loves me some sleeping babies!
PS: For those who are wondering, Amaryllis is still completely smitten and obsessed with her new little sister.

For presh! I think miles is already in love, since they don't get much cuter than that!
Emily, Congratulations on a new daughter! The pictures are so cute. I'm very impressed at how you're bouncing back - I found it to be easier after the 2nd one as well, but at the same time life has sped up a ton with two. I can't believe I'm still saying that and a year has passed. :) Kensington and Amaryllis are adorable!!
she's beautiful and that is a lot of hair!
That baby is To Die For Cute. And I am extremely jealous of your vacay right after said baby. What a great idea! How lucky for you that Jake gets so much time off.
I love all her hair!
She is a little honey!
