No Baby {yet}

It has turned into a waiting game at this point. I had previously cleared my calendar for 2 wks before my due date in hopes this child would arrive early.
No such luck. Which is why we rode the train to Schrammah's the previous week.

(This yellow dress is one that my Aunt wore to my mom's wedding. I let AV prance around in it for a day. I think it's funny that it was natural instinct for her to daintly hold it when she runs or steps over things. Too cute.)

Then we decided on a last minute beach trip this past weekend, because I couldn't stand the thought of bumming around here with nothing to do and wondering if I would go into labor.

It is so nice to wakeup and say "what a lovely day, let's go to the beach today".

And FYI, The Lucky Leaf is now available for renting through a realty company.

It was SO good to be out in the fresh air and to see the sunshine!
Seriously, it has been a long cold wet winter and I'm very glad Spring has arrived. We all just sat around outside and did nothing. It was great.

Amaryllis actually liked the sand this time around, and kept eating it and saying "Ice!". It took me awhile to figure out that she thought it was SNOW (we've had snow this winter and taught her how to eat it).

Whenever she sees the ocean, she gets her finger out and holds it up pointing/scanning the waves and says matter-of-factly "Daddy surfin ocean. Yeah. Uh Huh. Surfin." whether or not he is actually out in the water.
It was a fun "last hoorah" before we become a 2-kid family.

That cute that she was associating snow with sand and eating it.
