This past week we went to the beach with my family. My sister and her hubby were visiting during their spring break. Amaryllis got her feet wet for the first time. She loved it and her Daddy just knows it's only a matter of time until she'll be on a surf board. The water was warm enough to trunk it, so that means the summer season has begun in Topsail! Here are a few highlights to narrate the below collage:
If you can't see it, Amaryllis has a nice drool dribble which Uncle Calvy loves to get on his hands. We made Mel & Dean a romantic anniversary breakfast on the deck. Dad found half a fish (the real fishermen had already gutted it and thrown the head back in the water) and hooked it onto his pole to pretend like he actually caught something. And doesn't my sister look great at 18 wks pregnant?!? Oh, I can't forget to mention Calvin's yummy pancakes, which I loved so much that Jake made them for me on Mothers Day.
All in all, the only thing that was missing from this relaxing week was Char & Ben's little family! We kept wishing they were there!

Sounds like a great trip! The baby is so cute and glad she likes the water.
We wish we were there too....Charley is going to have so much fun playing with Amaryllis...by the time we get out there, she will be crawling around!
