This was such a pretty drive up the Malibu Canyons. I always thought Malibu was this cool beach town where everyone surfboards on sidewalk lined beaches. I guess I was getting it confused with Santa Monica--now I'm a Californian let me set ya straight.
Malibu is mostly big rolling hills of brown dead cactus, then a highway, then a few houses on the beach (that you can't really see because of privacy walls).
It really is a let down, as compared to what they portray in movies.
But this little Cafe was darling. Paddle boats at the entrance.
And then you walk up the path and it's just a big outdoor grassy area, with funky chandeliers hanging from trees, all types of oversized chess games, oversized Jinga, pool table, fun music, shuffleboard, etc.
Such a cool vibe. Such a shame the food was disappointing.
