Birthday!
Sort of a last minute trip to San Francisco on my birthday. We left early Friday morning and came back Saturday night.
We couldn't have asked for better weather or better company!
The Marin Headlands and views of the Golden Gate bridge were just beautiful.
It was so fun to be away from kids and just chill and hop in and out of the car, easy peasy.
Actually, we rented a mini van and I must say, it was my first time being in one since I was little. Wowie zowie, the way those bucket sleeps flip up and down by pulling a string...pretty impressive!
These girls--can't say enough good things about them. Without them in and out of my daily life, I'd be a crazy/psycho/depressed/hermit/witch lady. They keep me going.
We hit up all the San Fran spots and eateries. Like literally we ate about 5-7 times a day. Plus treatsies in the car too :)
Best part of the trip was the running commentary by our husbands. It was just flat out hilarious and I almost peed myself multiple times from laughing too hard.
I dunno how it started, but I have this thing where Kelly wants me DESPERATELY so bad to take a smiley serious picture with her, and since she wants it so bad, I just can't. I'm running out of silly face options though! Sorry Kelly, you can crop me out of this one hhahaha...
Below is Jake, making love to The World's Best Burrito. I'd go back to that place in a heartbeat. Can you tell it was delicious?
We are so awful at taking pictures. We are just a little too old for the selfie generation I think.

Grandma K and Grandpappy were kind enough to stay the night with the kids, and took them to chuckeecheese on Saturday. AND, as the girls excitedly told me, they got ice cream TWO DAYS IN A ROW. IN A ROW!). They said little Miss PeachyPie just loved the lights and carousel rides...guess we should start bringing her to Disneyland instead of leaving her home with a sitter!
Thanks grandparents and friends and hubs, what a fun weekend! I wish it wasn't so brutal to come back to real life. It's like 2 stark different worlds, I have to tell myself not to be a spoiled brat and come back with a grateful happy disposition. But really the second you see the kids it's back to reality and they barely noticed you were gone!
