Can you believe my baby is turning one?
See that smile in the above photo? She only smiles like that for one person and it's not me :(
My girls woke up early one morning in Catalina, so we went on a walk and snapped some official "1 year old" photos of little Maybelle, and of course, her big sisters had to put on their new dresses too.
They just adore baby sis. It is sweet to see the instinctual bond that the three of them share together.
Kensington is turning into the class clown. She loves to goof off and get a laugh out of people. She loves to rough house with Maybelle, and she is surprisingly soft and gentle with her.
I love the special bond that Amaryllis and Maybelle have. Maybelle's face just lights up whenever she hears big sisters voice, and vice versa. I thought the "new baby" charm would wear off by now, but AV still begs to see her every morning, begs to peek in on her during naps, wants to sit by her, hold her, carry her, feed her, love on her, snuggle her, tickle her, and basically be the little mamma that is innate in all of us. They love to make each other laugh.
And I can always count on a little understanding smile or excited/proud praise from Amaryllis as we exchange looks whenever peaches learns a new trick or does something ultimately insanely cute. You know, the stuff that melts a moms heart that any other stranger would think isn't anything special? Well it's nice and comforting to know that it melt's Amaryllis's heart too.
"She's just so cute, I...just...can't even say it right!"
