The best is when you put the kids down after a loooong day and you're really feeling like a snack and you get a text from a friend that says

 "I left you a treat, if you can find it..."

 Bomb! It's like scavenger and treasure hunt and food all in one. Warm home made donuts.

...Some dude found a dead gopher in the pool filter.  Sick!  And we still let our kids continue swimming.  Haha.  I think all the moms' thought process went a little like this:

"Ugh crap. Seriously? I got everyone all dressed and here and food packed, and the sun's out and the friends are here and the kids are having fun, you think I'm going back to the house from some dumb gopher? No way."

 

Of course they can't get enough of the camera when I don't need pictures of them.  I was trying to take picts of stuff for craigslist and they kept photo bombing:

After that long pool session, her head got a little too much sun so she picked out this real gem at the hat store.  It actually gets the job done though, nice wide brim and a string.  This is her race face:
