The end of Feb and March were kinda weird. It was the thick of my morning sickness, which wasn't that bad (I can say that now b/c it's hindsight). But also I get super restless when I'm pregnant and just want to be OUT and doing things and going places. Yet at the same time there are days when I just want to be at home with my little chickadees. Basically I'm all over the place :)
So yeah, here's March. We went to a cool seal rookery on the bluffs, where all pregnant mamas and newborn pups bathe in their sanctuary:
We had some home time because I felt like they were watching TONs of tv (they were) so we tried to do some good mom educational activities:
Amaryllis lost her first tooth! She ate it, whoops.
Lots of walks to friends, the park, the gym.
Some sunny days at the beach, and a cold windy day. They had fun though:
Kensington's birthday was in March!
She is so cute and so typical toddlerly funny.
She wanted sugar cookies instead of birthday cake:
We go to the library a lot:
We announced to the Facebook world that baby #3 is on the way. Amaryllis is just enthralled with the thought.
Mom, Amaryllis, Kensington, and the baby:
Bike rides and park days:
Another good-mom pinterest activity.
These would be the strings that my rompers come tied in. Yes, rompers and shoe wings are still going strong, I'm as shocked as you are.
Neighborhood block party:
Pick me a winner!
Neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Makes me miss my Raleigh peeps though :(
We are so lucky to have such great friends/neighbors. It makes stay-at-home-mom life really fun. And I'm glad my girls will have lots of playmates as they get older. I thought it was funny that they naturally congregated in a circle on the sidewalk. Such a girly thing to sit in a circle and chit chat.
The Easter Bunny came to our house too:
They are so fun with each other. They play great and it's so sweet to watch the bond form.
In April we took a field trip to Griffith Park (biggest park in LA) where they have lots to do. One section is this old train museum.
We ran them ragged.
Teaching them Rock, Paper, Scissor:
Dancing in the box car. You can actually rent this out for a party, how fun would that be?
Amaryllis drew a picture when we got home, of the train and the station and her friends:
And this is how we survive the LA traffic:
It hasn't rained in awhile, but on cloudy days we pretend:
Amaryllis loves her swim lessons! Kensington has declined to do the 2nd season:
Showing off her "mom pants".
Marshmellow Shooters:
They really liked this.
Another craft we did (this is a pinterest photo, but ours did not have the fancy jewels) and they played with these fish for days. Who would've thought.
Lots of shoe wings being sold and it's crazy to see people wearing them or blogging about them.
I've just been taking it easy and only doing 1 pop-up shop site a month for the shoe wings,
but next month they'll be on Zulily (a big endeavor, and somewhat big
risk b/c there is always the thought of what if they don't sell?) but I
decided to kick it up a notch because...
We put an offer in on a house and I want new furniture :)
It's a short sale so the bank has 4 months to even look at our offer but we are #1 (out of 25 offers) so we are confident it'll be home sweet home this summer. It's about 7 houses down from our current rental.
Amaryllis lost her 2nd tooth. She didn't swall this one.
"Amaryllis love the tooth fairy. Can you take my tooth?"
The tooth fairy left her a dollar (the first time, she didn't know what a dollar was and called it a green ticket and gave it back to me, so I've been teaching her what money is) and she was excited to spend it.
This is their runway / wedding isle:
And lots of time at our neighborhood pool, hot tub, or splash park:
I've been trying really hard to soak up our non-scheduled relaxed lifestyle because I know everything will change once Kindergarten starts after the summer, and once the baby comes.
So here's to a fun spring, and a fun summer!

I second previous comments! Hooray for everything!
cute house! hope you get it.
Great.... I thought I was an awesome mom when I let Ryan take 2 baths in 1 day.
Is it weird if I drop him off at your house anytime I think he needs some REAL motherly awesomeness?
