"Is your name Babe, or Emily?"

The one thing I miss about being here is the change in weather.  We got a little sprinkle of rain and it made me have that down home rainy day feeling, but it was just a tease.  I am definitely missing the crisp fall air, beautiful leaves, sounds of the football game from our front porch, leaf burning smokey smell, and the excitement in the air.

And don't even mention the fact we won't be having our annual Halloween party :(   Wasn't last year's sooo fun?

The Bibbidy Bobbity Boutique.  One of the babysitters at the YMCA was training another babysitter, and we walked in and the lady introduces Kensington and Amaryllis to the new girl saying:  "And this one is our little fashionista, look at her in her leopard dress.  And this one has a wild imagination if you watch her she is just in her own little world."  Spot on.

A train with soft wheels:

Les Mis was great.  Good show, good company.  Can't wait for the movie!

Just another day, being dogs or cats:

Amaryllis was very adamant I take a picture of their lovies and send it to Schrammah.  I know why it was important to her, yet I can't form it into a sentence.  All I can say is Schrammah is probably the only other person on this earth that loves this picture as much as me:

You know my faithful old friend, my blue bag that has gone EVERYWHERE with me the past 9 years.  I got it in Hawaii when Mel and I lived there and I even have kept my honeymoon itinerary tucked in one of the hidden pockets and get it out from time to time.  As of late, it has been my faithful gym bag and sadly, though the bag itself was in great shape, the plastic clips all broke.  RIP my friend.

Date night with friends. What.  That is my normal face, jerks.

Amaryllis needed some space to display her artwork that has been taking over the house.  Never mind that this is behind her bedroom door and I threw it u in a few minutes and it will probably not last very long since she's constantly rearranging it, she thinks it's beautiful.

Her paper wedding cake:

So fun having friends come visit us.

Not sure how they got their legs up like that!  We made friends with them in line and knew they were going to do something mischievous for the photo so we sabotaged it by giving them bunny ears:

Kensington loves Cars and Nemo.  She sleeps with a little red matchbox car (the only boy toy we have--we found it at the park) clutched in her little hands.  It's red so she thinks it's Lightening McQueen.

Amaryllis knows the Disney routine by now, so it is getting hard for her to sleep the night before out of excitement.  She knows we wake up when it's dark and get straight in the car.  The creepiest thing by far is to wake up at 3am with the hall light on, and the sillouhette of her in all dressed up as Cinderella with a gigantic tiara on, just standing there breathing heavily in your doorway, backlit by the bright light, in the middle of the night.  Cute if it weren't so creepy.

This was the funniest thing ever.  For everyone involved:
We live close but far enough that we still have to make a day out of it when we drive down to Santa Barbara to visit the grandparents.

First Chuck-E-Cheese experience:

Kensington has been giving up her naps.  She still plays in her crib quietly for the 2 hrs but hasn't been sleeping.  So I decided to run her out more.  I make them walk to/from the YMCA everyday and usually we run around in the gym and play basketball there too.  Lately my plan has worked and she naps.  Good ole fashion exercise :)

 (Pockets!)

Now here's my philosophy on flower picking.  It is ok if it is in a public garden where there are tons of them, so few flowers won't be missed.  And so long as you do it dainty and kindly.

And so long as you make pretty Kitty Cat Soups with Wishberries for your mommy:

How fun. You are such a good mom. And what little cuties you have. This post is reminding me that we need to go to Disneyland. Gwen has never been!

I can totally fix that clasp. I made my own Ergo-type baby carrier and got in a lot of practice.
