Did you know your kid's feet actually grow? And as a parent, you're suppose to, like, buy them shoes that fit instead of squishing their big feet into way little shoes? It dawned on me one day as I was saying outloud (while practically sweating trying to cram her foot into her winter shoes)
"oh my gosh. what is wrong with these shoes."
Hello. It's not the shoes, genius.

So yeah. Amaryllis totally skipped size 7 and went straight to size 8 in the span of about 3 months. How can little feet grow so fast in one season? Oh garsh, I was about to say "I want my feet to grow every season so I can get new shoes too" but really, a half a shoe size per pregnancy is about enough.

Heidi was the camerawoman for these and I did some funkyfresh editing. Mostly, this is a super lame blog post because I just wanted to try out some new editing effects and share the picts. So I'm trying to make up a few dull sentences to string it all together. Bored yet?

How about now?

People always marvel with me about how different these sisters are--body shape, size, color, attitude, etc.

Don't worry, I'm not going to be obnoxious and tell you she's cute [again]. I'm not. I won't.

Ok I will. She's cute!

Hey, wake up from this boring blog post. What do you think of the editing in that sort of creamy hazey vintage style?

I like the editing! But you scared me w/ one of those pics... i was scrolling down when all of a sudden I thought i saw 2 saggy boobs! Phew! It's just Kensington's elbows blurred out! hahahahahahaha! I can't believe AV skipped a shoe size. oh wait- she didn't skip it... you just crammed her poor feet into the old ones till she outgrew her "real" size! hahaha I'm doing that w/ Rome RIGHTNOW hahaha. poor feet.
K, I have those same shoes! Mine kill my heel, do yours? Remember my feet after the 1st wk of classes frosh yr? maybe i have sensitive feet. :)
I cannot get over KD's rolls, I just want to eat her! I am totally jealous of Heidi, because she actually gets to kiss that cute baby. And seeing KD and AV standing next to each is really quite hilarious.
And, macey feels av's pain. I took me a few days to figure out why she was so grouchy every time we went anywhere. That's why I like sandals.
I super like the pict styles! And so what if you keeping telling us your kiddies are cute. Number A: it's your blog and letter 2: THEY ARE CUTE! Like adorably cute!
My sister's girls are the same way (looks wise). One looks like a Plautz and one looks like her husband's mom. But the still look like sisters. The same with your girls. I see both you and Jake in them.
Keep posting pictures, different styples, and telling us how super beautiful your girls are!
Kels those shoes hurt my heels for the first day but that's it. Get yourself some Dora bandaids.
OMG mel, I totally see what you are talking about with the saggy boobs! lol that's hilarious. at least these fake boobs aren't all wrinkley like dean's hand in that 1 picture you posted. kenzi's elbow-boobs are nice and plump if i do say so!
Love the editing. How do you do it? Photoshop?
Love the pics (as always), and I can totally relate to your ah-ha moment about the kids feet grow thing. (great minds think alike...)
