Christmas 2010

Schrammahs0076text

We are back from a 2 week Christmas vacation. One week in Charlotte, and one week in Topsail.

It was just us and the Schrammparents since this was the "off" year for my other siblings, and we already visited Jake's family last month.

In Charlotte, it snowed about 3-5 inches and we tried to go sledding down the golf course hill behind my parents house. And then we bummed a ride off some real sledders and Amaryllis got a good thrill.

The drive across North Carolina from Charlotte to the coast was SO beautiful in the snow. We took the back country roads and the whole 4 hours I kept thinking "oh that would be a great photo right there, oh no that would be so beautiful". So here's the pict I got in the comfort of my car.

Random: I found this picture of Amaryllis at the same age. I don't think they look the same at all.

Amaryllis was introduced to Sleeping Beauty and Chipmunk Adventure on this vacation.

In Topsail, we got to see the Dolphin Dip Extravaganza--America's largest new years day swim. Everyone runs into the ocean in the freezing weather.

Excuse the next slew of pictures--I know it's obnoxious when people force you to look at their baby's funny faces and expressions.

I got my camera out to document these cute chubs poking out of the highchair.

And then Kensington started doing this weird funny thing when I took pictures of her.

And since then, every time I get out the camera (even my phone camera) she does it.

She crinkles her eyes and nose and starts trying to blink real fast.

I think it's either the flash, or the "click" noise that my camera makes.

It makes me laugh so hard (only I think it's funny) and then I look around and nobody else cares. And I'm like, hello! Is this not the most adorable thing ever?

Only a face a mom could love, huh?

Well, I think the pictures are cute too! Especially since I don't get to see your kids much. So please keep showing them!!

Happy 2011 to you and the fam!

Would this be the Chipmunk Adventure where they race around the world in hot air balloons? Because if it is I LOVE that movie and have been waiting to get it on Netflix.

I love comparing pictures of kids, I could do it all day.

Yep, the good ole 80's chipmunk adventure. When the evil old man is smoking, Amaryllis thinks he has a birthday candle...glad they don't show smoking in movies nowadays.
