I just happen to have way too many. And they are all waaaay too old. But I love them dearly because every shirt has a memory--from high school, to college, to newlywed to mommy.
I've been working way too much lately and I have to remind myself that I'm only supposed to be part-time, so I put away my client stuff & looked in my craft room for an un-finished project. There was my stack of t-shirts. So I cut them all up and made a blanket. Taa-daa!
And I'm loving the fabric on the back. Funky & eclectic.
Anywho, what would a stay-at-home-mom blog be without a craft post every now and then, huh?
And also what would a SAHM (stay at home mom) blog be with out a photo of her DD (I think in the mommy blogging world that stands for "darling daughter" but I have never figured it out for sure).
So without further delays, ladies and gentlemen I give you... Dick Tracy!
At least that's what Jake's been calling Amaryllis in the mornings. I've been jogging with cricket (so her pink harness is out) and Jake also runs in the morning (so his jogging watch is out), and after breakfast Amaryllis comes to each of us and gathers her gear. It's funny b/c she wears the watch on her wrist and holds her wrist up to ear and says "hello?".
I couldn't get a good picture of her wearing her bonnett too. She looks like a mini detective with all her gizmos and gadgets dangling. Even funnier is when she adds the tutu--now that's a girl that knows how to accessorize!

What a great idea for a blanket! Who thought of that?? Your dd and dh (dear husband) look so cute together.
I've never heard of "dd", I guess I'm not up to date on the mommy blogging world. Good thing I have you to keep me hip. :)
I recognize a few of those shirts. I asked Paul if he wanted me to make him a quilt of his old t-shirts and he just laughed at me, good thing I don't know how to do it anyways.
Every time i see mel's I keep thinking that is what I need to make with my old shirts (I have a gazillion of them)....but keep forgetting I want to make one, and throw them away!...cute pics!
Oolala I love the blanket. I keep telling Bill I am going to make him one with his nasty tees, but I guess babies come first!
Cute. I'm going to make a blanket with all my show shirts someday.
