Amaryllis and I went to Charlotte and visited my mom. This babydoll that my mom has in the playroom has always creeped me out. Amaryllis stared at it long and hard before going over to poke its freaky eyes.

And here is another creepy doll. Remember these? (insert shiver)

Sophie wokeup one day with her hind legs paralyzed, so she has to stay in her crate for 6 weeks. But Amaryllis kept her company...locking, unlocking, opening, closing.

We also went to the beach for a quick weekend getaway. In this picture, can you see those cross beams? Yep, Jake helped build those. He's just a handyman kind of guy, you know, with a drill and manual labor and stuff.

At the beach, we decorated for Christmas early so we wouldn't have to do it next time we are there. As you can tell by his face, Jake was stoked to show Amaryllis the tree.

(Have you ever seen a more barren tree? Pretty pathetic. It is from the dollar store so it took some major sprucing).

Being the scrawny tree that it is, we had to set it up on a table to give it some height and put a chair in front to keep you-know-who away.

Jake has been keeping busy baking HOMEMADE, FRESH, HOT BAGELS. Yes, you heard it right. He loves bagels and I came downstairs one morning and there he was, elbow high in flour, kneeding away. He researched it all online and knows everything there is to know about bagels. They are super yum.

Jake put a "lightsaber" app on my iPhone. Or is it Lifesaber? Life-saver?
Anyways. It's pretty much the coolest app ever and this is coming from a person that hates all things Star Wars and has never even seen the movies. Basically, it turns your phone into a sword thingy (the glowy one Luke Skywalker has--that much I do know) and when you swing it around it makes that cool sound. This is me battling Jake. What can I say...one of those bored Sunday afternoons.

How come sophie's legs were paralyzed?
Oh yeah, how is Sophie? Poor girl. I love that you haven't seen Star Wars. I just thought everyone has seen it a million times. Give it a try but start with 4-6.
The Eichmanns would like to see this drill/manual labor!! We're quite impresse!
Haahaaa....that baby freaked Charley out at first when she saw it too!
Tell Jake I am impressed with his newly acquired domestic skills!
