Funtimes in the Summertime

This weekend Amaryllis pulled up and stayed up all by herself. I set her on the deck right before bed so she could watch Jake surf, and next thing we knew she was grabbing the railing and popped right up. Love the face she made.
It was a fun last hurrah for the summer with the Schramms and the Albas. I didn't take my camera, but here are a few picts from Charlene of Cairo in the Sand...an egyptian city complete with an irrigation system, crops, King Tut, a sphynx, pyramids, sundial, a boat and more!

And Tristan also made Mt Rushmore while we were there. Isn't he good?
Jake took out the long board and caught some waves.
And Amaryllis sat in her tub under the umbrella and teethed on the beach toys.

did you change the background of your blog to match Amaryllis's p.j.'s? :)

I'm pretty intimidated by the sand castle-ing. I never produce anything that cool.
