After a whirlwind of moving, it was fun to meet up with my roommates and their daughters in St. George to see Mary Poppins at the outdoor Tuacahn Amphitheater. Here's Kelsey's picts.
Amaryllis was super excited, she had her little (my old) suitcase packed well in advance and kept rearranging things and adding/subtracting toys until it was juuuuust right.
We rode to St George with Megan in her swagger wagon, and took 2 other girlies with us and dropped them off there to spend the weekend with their grandparents. Notice Amaryllis had to have TWO bags of cheetohs open at the same time. Only on vacation...
This is the St. George temple (more about LDS temples here) that the pioneers built back in the mid 1800. It gleams white against the red rock canyons and mountains, it's very pretty.
It was the first temple Amaryllis has ever seen and she loved it. There was a cute bride and groom taking pictures and she was just loving the pretty couple and flouncy dress and cute cowboy boots the bride was wearing underneath.
We hit the pool (it was like 100 degrees, no joke) and the girls played and we talked and did all that fun stuff all weekend.
We did a "Favorite Things" gift exchange with the little girls, then one for us big girls after bed time. They also brought their favorite snack to share, favorite cereal for the morning, and had a manicure session of course :)
The show was SO cute. It was different than the movie, but I liked all the new songs and Amaryllis was very into it (Kelsey can testify) and bouncing around. If you are near the area, it's worth making a weekend out of it. Each summer they feature a few different shows.
I'm glad we're still friends, 13 years later, and that we still make the effort to get together.
The red rock mountains/canyons are very pretty. You can't really appreciate it unless you are smack right there.
If I were really good, I'd dig up some old college photos to put next to this one, but that would take some time and effort...and do we really want to compare the wrinkles? We look so fly now, who cares.
Movie time!
So fun, can't wait to do it again!

cute. Amaryllis sure knows how to pose for pics:)
That pic of AV with her umbrella, is practically perfect. :)
Macey is still talking about the trip and I keep thinking about how relaxing the pool was with only 1 kid to watch.
Did you photoshop Kelsey's arm into a nub?!
