Well the lack of blogging has occurred due to the lack of photo taking. Sorry to all you for moving across the country and not keeping you posted on our super awesome exciting lives.
Some picts from my phone, in no particular order.
There's this cool soda shop and candy store called Rocket Fizz by our
house that we walk to for family night. Hundreds of unique soda's.
They have a club called "Pop Star" and Jake signed up. You have to drink 100 of the soda's listed on a big sign in the store to be a pop star. So far, there are only 5 pop stars. We've been working our way through them. When we have guests, we get the disgusting flavors so they can help us down them (above).
Love blossoms between Kensington and Miles.
Just want to document AV's first tracing. It amazes me, I have never ever sat down and practiced any sort of educational junk with her (I'm horrible, I know). And she knows her letters, sounds, etc. I'll find random pieces of paper around and I see there are letters all over them and she tries to write her name and it "looks" right with an A...some letters, the tail of a Y, more letters. Visually, it looks correct. So I guess I should teach her to write it for reals.
She is beginning to color in the lines too. Now I'm realizing as I'm typing this how quickly her mind is developing and I need to get on the ball!
Sweet Kensington. Isn't the below picture appropriate? My favorite things in 1 picture. Perfect:
So mature:
When did she get all grown up and start sitting like that?
I'm a bit jealous of their Disney childhood. At least I get to go everytime they do :)
My friend emailed me the above pict. Too cute.
Amaryllis is still obsessed with wearing things on her head as "hair". Nightgowns or crepe paper:
Isn't it frustrating that the kids tend to congregate where you are and not where the toys are?
I've never been one for having tons of toys downstairs. It bugs me. I limit it to 1 leopard toy chest and that's it. But this month we swapped things up a bit.
Is she getting too old for underwear photos? Maybe:
I've had an unhealthy obsession with sugar cookies as of late. Usually I just use the box mix from Target since it's super easy. But one day I went all out and made real ones. Remember my horrible tile kitchen counters? This cool little mat fixes that problem. Nifty.
Don't be fooled, she's fake sleeping. Even on their extremely tired days, they refuse to sleep in the car:
As seen on Facebook, Kensington's first braid!
This is one of those photos where you say "it doesn't even look like her". So don't be alarmed, she doesn't really look that grown up (to me at least). But there's no doubt, she's turning into a little lady.
I put a bench in the garage, with little baskets underneath filled with their socks. So my new routine in this house is I send them out there to get themselves ready, which allows me about 2-4 minutes to run upstairs and get my clothes on, or clean up the kitchen (I hate coming home to a dirty kitchen, puts me in a really sour mood), or fulfill a few romper orders. It's a nice routine and helps them figure things out on their own. Anyways, I came out one day and they looked like this--so stunning, ladies!
The Movie of the Month, did you see it? I liked it. My only 2 complaints were Katniss looked like a giant compared to Peeta and I felt like when she hugged him she would crush him. And the other isn't really a complaint, more of an observation: you really had to read the books to know their thoughts and get the most out of the movie.
Anyways. Now you are all caught up. I hope to do better at blogging. Well, mostly at picture taking so maybe that will make me blog. Honestly I find myself cutting down my computer time and taking things out like browsing of blogs, pinterest, facebook, news, etc. It's such a time waste and I'm getting sort of sick of the social media obligations.
Hopefully up next week, I'll have some beautiful picts of our little 2 yr old--I've been waiting for the perfect day to take them, and for her runny nose to stop :)

I love this post!! I personally want more updates of your California life; so this was just the post for me. Jim would LOVE the soda shop, he is crazy for unique sodas. His favorite is celery soda. It's disgusting. Save that for when you have company over. Maybe Jim made you try it in North Carolina??
p.s. Jim just told me he wants to come visit you and he will complete the pop star challenge in one week.
Ok, I had been wanting to complain about the size difference between Katniss and Peeta, but I didn't want to sound...rude(?) but since both you and April mentioned it I am glad to know that its aight ;-), otherwise great movie. Sodas sound gross, girls look lovely (so does your house), I laughed out loud when I saw the pictures of AV with "hair", poor girl (but you know that I can relate), Kenzie is more ladylike than ever (how did that happen!?!?!?), and I miss you girl!
