Christmas 2011

My first Christmas away from home (yes I'm 30 and I've never had one) was fun.
christmas morning 2011

We went to Disneyland (with the California Bartletts) for 2 days earlier in the week, and that was loads of laughs.

The nice thing about having sisters-in-law everywhere is they can take all the pictures and I can steal them :)

The girls had a cotton candy glazed look towards the end of the days, but they held up surprisingly well.

Amaryllis loved the princess overload.  Here she is being shy at breakfast when Chip and Dale visited our table at the hotel.  We stayed at the Grand Californian, which was quite lovely and I definitely recommend it due to its extremely close proximity (aka in the park) which is ideal if you have kids.

Then later that week, we went to Santa Barbara for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Sad for you, I totally forgot my camera.  But I borrowed one and managed to take 10 photos that day.  I'm not sad about that...I'd much rather enjoy it than photograph it!

Believe it or not, I think this is their first time to every wear matching clothes:

Let's just say the grandparents made sure Amaryllis and Kensington got everything on their list!  I got some really cute video clips.  The only word to describe Amaryllis when she saw her Dream Castle was "speechless".  It was really cute.

And now, life continues.  Post-Christmas is always slightly a let down isn't it?

I have been reflecting on 2011 and the changes it brought.  It's so crazy, the things that happen that you never would've saw coming.  I'm going to try out iMovie on this mac and see if I can make a 2011 highlight reel.  The girls have loved watching our 2010 video, and it always seems like a good way to put the year to rest.

Do yall have any New Year's goals?
